Default Re: Oil Filter?

The PF35L is often found with a perforated steel core. However, the media is too fine for a high flow application.

The oil filter for a Duramax seems to always have a perforated steel core, I have yet to find one without it. I think the number is PF2232. It fits small and big block Chevy engines. Never had a problem with one, either.

The K&N filters are good, never had a problem with one, and they can often be found at the chain stores if you need a filter and the NAPA or CarQuest is either closed or too far away.
