well thank ou very much for your assistance. I will have to check that stuff out. That's an aftermarket turbo on there. The engine was also a stadard 1.8, but is stroked to 2.0. Most of the stuff on that Miata is aftermarket.

You know, you will never know until you ask. Contact the tech department at NHRA (tech@nhra.com) and ask them the procedure. Typically, the manufacturer has to submit an application with specifications to NHRA for inclusion in the guide. Although I doubt it would be allowed, they just might allow it. The first thing to know about Class racing is you need a "go get it" attitude.
Good luck!

I'm not looking down on foreign cars but neither of the HRA's have put any effort into including them in the rule books.
If you really want to get into Stock racing just find a cheap lower class car and buy it, in the long run it will be far less a hassle and you can start right away, JimR

I was looking at IHRA's Rule Book, which states So...where does IHRA keep their "acceptable combonations list" on the web or do they at all?

I believe IHRA mirrors NHRA for the most part. There are a few exceptions. IHRA permits pre-1960 cars, while NHRA is 1960 and newer. Some HP ratings differ betwen N and I. IHRA may also accept cars that NHRA does not (not sure if this is the case). If it were me, I'd address a specific question to an IHRA tech person.
