I patiently await either a DP stocker, or a CJ stocker, or super stocker to win a eliminator title at a 2010 National event, or even Divisonal event.....maybe I've missed something here, but haven't the older combos/seasoned drivers dominated grabbing the Wallys so far this season? I know the newest car combos are putting down some smokin' et's and speeds, but the time tested combos are the ones still bringing home the bacon....time will tell, and when a new car wins it all, (and it should happen sometime real soon) the fur should really start to fly around here...Remember, some of those older /fastest combos are still way under-rated as well.....so maybe it's time to re-factor everything. Just another .02 cents worth.....

I think it all depends on how they win it. If a CJ/DP car wins a race without any heads-up races, why should that bother anybody? Which do you think would cause more "fur to fly" around here: A CJ/DP car winning a race dialing-in all the way or a CJ/DP car going out in the semi's after winning 3 or 4 heads-up races? -Toby |

That's the $64,000 question, Toby. Guess we'll just have to wait to see what happens. Maybe at Indy this weekend....WJ

I was actually asked today not to get HP added to the Combo because it "breaks" it as an SS/JA and its capable of running competitive there. Thats not a game I am playing, laying low for others, not now not ever. Myself, different story. I appreciate and enjoy other DP Owners information, support and comradary , we however have a limited clock as it were to do the things we set out to do. We had originally planned to do just that at Houston with it had we not had issues. So it becomes an SS/IA Car.....Looking at Nitro Joes stats its got that covered to ESPECIALLY in SS Trim. A while back I got roasted for saying I had a combo I thought could go 3 under, now after much thought and discussion with others its an easy 2 under, but the last .5 would break the "budget" nature of the car and setup. I wish , so very much wish I could find one, not just for a stocker, but its a car Ive been looking to add to my collection in permanent fashion I had one. I also passed up a Cosworth Vega because I was sleeping at the Keyboard when it closed. There are many combos out there not yet in the guides that will be quite upsetting once the manufacturers are prodded to submit them I believe.

For many years I was complaining about my combination not being competitive with the Horse power rating that nhra had on my combination and that I was always whinning about the the chevis and was told by a lot of racers to work harder on my combination so now I am saying to all the races that are upset about the Mopars and Mustangs "work harder on your combination" case closed > smirking as what goes around comes around . let the comments begin quit :whining "

I called out the Cosworth Vega with 1.5 to 2 second under potential here a few years ago. Still think that!
I once had a black '75. Before emissions choked them they were good for 2 HP per CID. We all know how easy that is to get back on a class car. OK, sorry to hi-jack...back from station break...

That and rust issues with the combo I like well, they are all but totally extinct. They were pretty scarce in the begining as well. But there are I think lots of those in the guides already that people for whatever reason avoid. Whats going to be "upseting" is if/when some of the new cars get added to the guides that arent in there now. Im just dissapointed the Chysler Maserati TC isnt in the guides , it would give me and excuse to get one, and I dont know why .... odd but its not.
