Default Re: radial tires.

[QUOTE=HawkBrosMav;190465]Does anyone know if a 30x9 radial will fit on an 89' mustang without having to modify the wheel openings? We have a bias goodyear slick 28x9 and it fits no problems. It grows and the radials will grow less so we are thinking it might work. anyone try it before?

another question does anyone make a radial that is 29x9? I guess I haven't done enough research.

Unless a 89 Mustang has a considerably larger wheel well opening than my 85, I doubt that a 9x30 would fit without some trimming. I used to have 9x28`s on 8" wide Weld Draglites with 5 1/2" back space, which required some good hammer blows on the inside, but nothing on the actual openings, but when I switched to M/T 9x29 1`2" slicks, I had to do quite a bit of slicing & hammering on the wheel openings, especially in the front sections.
