It's called capitalism.They charge what they think the market can stand.You take it or you leave it,same as the charges we pay to race NHRA/IHRA etc.

Book your rooms real early and you will not pay those rates--lotsa sites to go thru too not just the Motel 6 website---We had 4 rooms for the last Joliet natl & div race @ $41 per/nite the going rate was $80 p/nite---ya just gotta look not wait til the last minute eithrt--Comp 387

I was working in Augusta, Ga. and I was staying at the Hampton, it was $86.00 a night. The week before and the week of the Masters the rates go up to $316.00 a night. There is no negociating the price. Needless to say I did not work those 2 weeks in Augusta.
