When you have Bristol this late in the year, the air is terrible for the racers and the fans. Bristol is far better in April, June and July are just miserable there. Moving Bristol to June or July from April is about as smart on NHRA's part as moving Memphis to August from October. It makes a great race miserable.

Does the altitude and hot muggy bad air mean the DP's have another tenth or 2 left in them.....lol. The blown Mustangs can make their own atmosphere for the most part.

At least 2 tenths. The 5.7 hemi only makes 40 hp less than a 6.1hemi on the dyno sheets I have saw.

I went a 9.74 last year in the fall with Irvin John's 6.1 hemi. So I'd say a 5.7 in the fall should be able to run a real low 10.0x or high 9.9x.
