Racers,
I just got off the phone with John Clegg. John, Judy and JB(the jeggster) wants everyone to know that he's upset and disappointed that the Chaney's didn't wait for him. What happened was that he had just put on a new set of slicks on his car and they were still aired up to almost 30 lbs from the installation. He realized it when he went to check his tire pressure in the lanes, he admits that's his fault. He wants everyone to know it wasn't intentional. The Clegg's are one of the most honorable families in drag racing. I think its outrageous how they've been treated and DESERVED more respect. John was in the points chase and the Allstars points and that round put him out. He is very disappointed to loose a round by the lack of courtesy, but asked that this be my final word on the subject. As for me, I was defending a friend of almost 25 years that never would have said a word. As JB said, I hope we all can learn from this experience. Thanks Stacy McCarty Last edited by PONTIAC'S REVENGE; 06-29-2010 at 04:20 PM. |

This is interesting reading. Sounds like the problem is with NHRA, the track officials and the way they want to run their race.
