Two different finish lines. This had to happen. I'm surprised it took this long. I guess the fuel cars can't shut down with the track sprayed, and the pro stock can't stay hooked without it. Don't surprised me the difference of opinions. Course you gotta consider, in one corner The Professor-known to speak his mind on several issues and usually not politically correct, Jim Head-speaks his mind also and been there a long time just like WJ and he don't understand the word correct, Tasca, I mean the guy drives a Ford so you gotta make allowances. My personal opinion is to get the track the same length which I think NHRA is playing with slowing down the fuel cars and put them back to 1/4 mile. Problem solved, no blindfolds needed.

Jeff,
A solution would be for NHRA to shorten the track for Pro Stock. Wow, would I like to hear WJ's take on that. Another way NHRA could cure their problem would be sell off everything that runs on a long track. Humm! Are you up for buying all the Sportsman series? By the way, I have a few pictures of those 2 new DP's at B&B... Cool!

Hey now!!!

Seriously, something has to give. Not one of us goes up to the starting line expecting to have serious issues with safety like those guys were expected to last weekend. Shame on NHRA for trying to save a buck that could have made a second fatality that weekend. Actually, a first fatality as the Top Alcohol crash came after Pro Stock round 1. I cannot believe they got such a flippant response from NHRA as they did.

Regardless, we come to the line expecting a safe track. NHRA is supposed to provide that. Glad they came to their senses before another person got hurt.

And Warren rocks! He has been and always will be my hero. I have only gone out of my way for two autographs as a fan - his and Melanie Troxel's.

Beth, you gotta remember I have been making allowances for Alex (slightly insane Ukrainian) for many years. Nobody, especially the pros, want an unsafe track. Now us guys, that is a different story. We usually just take what we get, and I do think over the years the line has been better maintained than 10-15 years ago. I think we should let Head and Professor duke it out. Tasca is too young, and he got that Ford thing too!!!

Warren Fires Back!!

http://www.competitionplus.com/index...wrestling-bout

I have felt the same, that Warren may be a little rough around the edges, BUT in this I see a side of the man that has very deep thoughts and convictions regarding safety. All I can say is GO Warren!

Let me go on record as saying that I have never been Warren Johnson fan. That said, now I have to say he is making more than just a little sense with his statements! NHRA had better start listening to the guys who know what is needed...... the racer! Sweeping reform is needed to continue to make our sport safe again. Safety was the main reason the NHRA started! What happened? I don't have to tell you what happened. The NHRA is being held captive by a bunch of money grubbing dumb asses! All they care about is stuffing their pockets instead of making sure these tracks can hold the power and stop the race cars of today. This is a technical sport. Don't you think we can develop a catch net or a similar device to stop these powerful cars? Sure we could, but NHRA doesn't want to spend the money. There is the bottom line. NHRA exec's, get off your wallet! Racers are dieing out there! Needlessly! Jim

LOL about Alex........Alex is as good as they come (for a Ford racer) and a top notch race prompter because with out him the U.S. Class Nationals would never had happened. Hope we have another one before I get to old to attend. Tasca is a little spoiled rich kid compared to Warren. Never had to bust his ***** to get where he is.
