![]() That one was done in 1971 Jared. Mr. Norm's Grand Spaulding Dodge built a run of just over 60. Used the aftermarket "Tri-Power" aluminum oval air cleaners.

Funny thing about time -- things have gone full circle - in the late 60's I raced a 57 Bel Air with Fuel Injection and now its F bodies - again with Fuel Injection .I'd love to go back to the Bel Air's once again .................

I bet those were cool little cars. I assume they're not legal for Stock or SS? When I put that in my previous post, it was with the thought of making a class car out of it.

Jack I don't go back that far, I thought Bel Air was a place?
For me it would be a 1969-70 Boss 429 Mustang with these changes, two 780 carbs on a high rise intake. Factory headers and a .600 solid lifter cam. An auto trans, 3500 stall converter and a 4.30 gear. The Boss was so detuned, it turned out to be just another mid to high 13's car. With these goodies it would have easily run mid 11's with a good tire. |

Yep...I remember the ads in the old magazines...if I am correct, you could buy one for around $3200.00 + brand new.
