Do you believe that the NHRA techs are doing their job?

One of the first little body modifications I saw.
Guys with 70' 340 Dusters, swapping on the 71' Egg-Crate grille
(which was sharper looking), so they could pop on the
800cfm Thermo-Quad.
Some got away with it, others didn't.
Some guys just changed the grille out, because of the look, and kept it as a 70' with the Carter AVS.
Depending on the Tech Inspector, it was like a mystery on whether it would fly or not.
The smart guys, always kept the 70' grille in the trunk, just in case.
