Paul
Yes it was fitted with 69 trim for the 70 Winternats.

I've been in contact with Jimmi Vignonia, & he gave me a lead to try. I am looking for a Billy Bellafato out of the Portchester NY area. He used to do alot of race Torque Flites for guys in the NY, CT, NJ area. Anyone have some contact info on him???

Mark Janaky also gave me a lead to try. This guys name is Jack Schneider out of Canton Ohio area. Supposidly he was the second owner of the "Wildfire" Hemi Dart. There seems to be some similarity between this car & mine. Any info on Jack would be greatly appreciated also.
Thanx

I think Mark would have all that info.
I think when the BO-29 Cuda's were first built, I think there was
a limited amount of Dana rears available. Thats why only a handful of
4-speed cars came out. And of those limited cars, the majority went to
selected factory-sponsored teams
Also, some issue with the fiberglass fenders, and front-end steering with the modifications to the control arm.

WJ,
I will be packing a parachute.
Approximate drop off height 10,000 feet.
I will pack my own chute, plus (3) back-ups.
Must have a guaranteed landing.
Still missing in action
Hemi Dart SS/BA 'Deb's Automotive', Springfield, Mass.
Maybe someone will know what happened to the car.
It ran at Orange in 68'
Or someone from Hampden might have info on it.

Another missing Dart. Mary Ann Foss 'Go Hummer II'
Where did that car go?

Daryl,

In 1985 I arranged the sale of a '68 Hemi Dart to a guy named Bill in Concord NC. The car was owned by two brothers who owned R & R Speed shop in Huntsville AL. The car was black.

The car was in excellent shape with few modifications and still had the Xram Hemi. I think they ran some IHRA races and Bracket raced it.

The guy it went to was a speculator who just got out of collecting Ferrari's and saw the worth in Mopar drag race cars.

The key is the two brothers in Huntsville, if they are still around they may be able to teel you the history of the car.

I know this won't help you with your car but may shed history on the breed.

Paul, I should be able to get some info on the Deb's Automotive Dart at the reunion, as Ralph Ridgeway (former '55 Chev C/MP champion racer out of Deb's) will be there....All will be ok w/your 10,000 ft. jump---- long as you don't land on the old strip (as some used to do---many broken bones...)......gotta land on the grass...it is nice and soft up here in central Mass, Paul....keep playing those old hits.... Regards, WJ

As far as I know, Hurst installed the factory length Dana's that were to go into B Bodys, Runners, Cornets, etc. That's why they used those goofy offset rear rims. This is the first I heard of a shortage, but I've been wrong before,---just not today yet!!!
There was a shortage on the glass fenders on the later cars I believe, & when they came available again, they came in blue gel coat.
As far as the modified steering arms,, the only car I've seen with them is the Joe Jill Speedwin Automotive car. When I purchased the Landy 4 spd. car from Steve O'Neil in 96, there was a new set of these things in the trunk, but not on the car. Not sure how many were actually installed by Hurst, before they let the cars go. I thought these were an after thought because of the poor steering geometry due to the K members being spaced 1/2". Only those "in the know" got them. ------- Any Input??????

Hello Paul, those steering arms that were in trunk of Dart came from Steve Segal,he owned the car after Ron Murtha. When I owned the car I was digging for parts/history from earlier owners of car, that is how I had them, not sure if they were ever on car or not ,try Steve Segal for more info? Later, SteveO
