Yes, but interestingly slightly different rules than Division 7. I lent my car out Monday after the Sonoma national event for the completion of the Phoenix race and the driver was allowed to change classes. But I think they were not allowed any heads up and it was random pairing for the first round and somehow put on a ladder for second round. And the one possibility that Jeff left out in the case of the driver I lent my car to he kicked the rods out of his at a latter race and did not have it fixed in time.

Seems to me rules are rules ... except for NHRA, then you make them up as you go ...

When rd one has been run ladder has been set. Sounds like a div 6 left coast rule

I believe something like that happened in Division 1 a few years ago first (second) round was random pairing . I was in line for the bye, but didn't get it. Field was closed but you could bring any car. as long as driver stayed the same.

Random pairings are not uncommon when an event is postponed for this long. It isn't a "west coast" thing. I've seen it happen in div 3 and div 5. It eliminates a potential boatload of byes.

If they keep the ladder the way it was then Norm Weber and Jody Lang will be getting 2nd round freebies, I don't have a C/SA car to drive in Seattle and theres no point in having Kelly and I take 2 day's off work for Kelly to take a shot at Jody.

Do you so called racers ever red the entire rule book. The ability to change cars in this situation has been around for over 10 years. My gosh, quit crying and go race.
