I bought that van 14 years ago for $250. I put a crate motor in it with full length headers, bagged the rear suspension, rebuilt the steering and put a $300 paint job on it. I've used it to tow an open trailer for the last 10 years and I think I have about $2500 wrapped up in the whole thing over that 10 years.

Don't have any pictures of Allyn Armstrongs bus, but I do remember NHRA Today doing a piece on it!

I have that recorded on a vhs tape from about 1988 or so. I was based in Greenwood from 86-90 and while watching TNN in the barracks heard "coming up, Canadian sportsman Alan Armstrong caused a commotion in the pits with his rig, we'll be right back" I flicked on the recorder and got the whole thing. I just have to remember where it is, I packed it with all my mini-vhs tapes I took when I was in Yugoslavia during the war. (can't go to war without a cam-corder right?) LOL

I'll see if I can find it.

The Action Camaro was sold by Louis Desjardins in late 1976 or early '77 to Fred Thibeault of Nova Scotia. I have a copy of Louis' "For Sale" ad in a local racing paper from the Fall of 1976, and a picture of Fred racing the car in 1977 at PEI Dragway.

I'm guessing that this picture was from 1974-76. Thanks for the response though. Do you remember the car from when Louis raced it? Fred and I keep planning to go through his old photos but haven't got around to it yet.
