I just took a look-see at the sheets. The first person does get the higher spot on the sheet.

So, as an alternate you could possibly be inserted into a heads-up situation. If you know that one of the no-shows could mean a heads-up race for you, you might want to make yourself "unavailable" while they're looking to fill that spot -- provided there are other spots available.

I know I know, everybody loves to race heads-up, but if you're an alternate I doubt you would want to race a qualified car heads-up especially when you're not hopped up.

Good point Toby, But if it were me and I traveled a thousand miles and ended up
in a heads up alternate in the first round we all know stranger things could happen at the starting line also lol, I would still take my chances any day then be put on the trailer because of the wacked out HP on these new Hot Rods its BS.

Cool Re: Bump Spot Math .................

Jack,

I think you are right , it is speed when you have the same ET..
Unless they have changed it in the last 5-10 years, it was based on MPH in Div. & Nationals .... But I do agree with Bob, there willl be a couple of move-ups based on the Barn ....

I don't think it could be speed. The higher class car would always have the advantage. It is speed in the heads-up Pro ranks, but first to run the number is first in for Sportsman.
