Default Re: Bore Alignment Tool

Contact BHJ Called a Bore True. It corrects cylinder head location and bore centers.
references off the rear main. It does not square the decks. They have another fixture for that. Some blocks are off more than others. You might find the block you choose will have to take more than a min. cleanup bore to be corrected. I suggest "Not" buying pistons until you get a rough finish size on the bore, if you only have one block. I've had customers that had to re-buy pistons because of the block. I've had other customers go through a couple of blocks before getting one that will bore to their size. This tool is extremely helpful in getting the correct bore location in some of the GM bowtie blocks that have an extremely rough initial bore. (unfinished) I haven't seen one in a while, but have seen plenty in the past. I don't call it picky, being precise. Some of the old blocks are way off. It helps with valve pocket alignment, too.
