We can not get it all done in one day And we need to give everyone a time run, and still have a back up for weather. Most of the racers I spoke with would prefer Friday over Monday Monday would need to be the weather problem day if we ran Sat and Sun Thanks Bob Lang NHRA Northeast Division Director 366 Easton Road Warrington, PA. 18976 Phone - 215-343-2558 Fax 215-343-0159 Website – nhradiv1.com Are you an NHRA member yet? We the sportsmen have to work and most cannot take a other day off. I myself cannot return on the Friday. The makeup for Atco should be on Saturday and Sunday. The race can be finished on Saturday and have a rain date of Sunday. |

I know of at least 3 racers that talked to a Division rep and expressed not to race on Friday to allow those who were in the IHRA Tournament of Champions a chance to come back to race on Saturday. But that suggestion obviously fell upon deaf ears!
So my question has to be.......how many racers did he talk to??? |

Didn't talk to me. I know that I would rather take off on Monday if I have to than take off on Friday no matter what. If they only had 1 more round in going into Monday there would be a very few racers that are affected and have to change their plans. Now everyone does. Not a very smart idea.

You gus are totaly right, monday would be only if the race was not completed.
Some fields are allready cut in half, you should be done early sunday at worst case. But that makes too much sense !!!!!! With the bad economy, having to travel back again, and take another day off work it only hurts those that have to work for a living!!!

Prob talked to the TAD and TAFC guys to see what best suited them, since we have racers from Oregon and Vegas they prob said "Hey if you can get us in on Friday that would be great and some of us might be able to make it to Silver Dollar on Sat and try to qualify there".
Here's how many cars that are left: 8 TAD 8 TAFC 32 Comp Cars 39 Super Stockers 58 Stockers 42 Super Compers 1st round of S/G - Maybe 50-55 Cars 29 Super Street (Not counting half the cars that did make it down on Sunday) |

I will tell you one thing "if" they get the whole race in on Friday....there are going to be some P***ed off racers and I have a feeling they will as long as there are not oil downs, etc they will get everything in on Friday!
