Default Re: SS/Modified Question

Jared, yes, automatics may remove 5% or 250 pounds, whichever is LESS, in SS/AM, SS/AS, etc.

Default Re: SS/Modified Question

Build as close to the weight min. as possible. Esp with restricted carb classes.

Like SS/AM:
Stick cu in. 353 Scale wt. 2650.0 Class min. 2650
Auto cu in. 353 Scale wt. 2515.1 Class min. 2515
Like SS/AS:
Stick Cu in. 393 Scale wt. 3350.0 Class min. 3350
Auto Cu in. 393 Scale wt. 3180.0 Class min. 3180
Remember it is lbs per cu in just like Comp
The less weight is worth more than the bigger cu in.
Just physics.

As to the carb question I think there was some change that allows you to run one carb or 2 x 4's.
I think that is how some racers slide between Modified an Modified Stock with the same car/setup. Ask Dan Fletcher
