Or we could stop whining about changing the rules to accommodate those who spend infinibucks to run two seconds faster than the index in a .90 class? If you're coming off the stop at 400 feet, that's a choice you make.

This commentary is in the same vein as "lower the indexes a full second, because I'm on the stop too long and it's hard to dial". You can always change your approach to run .40 under and not worry so much about the track, if you're that concerned. Maybe the bucks-down guys should retain advantages in some situations.
