Yes, Vegas is an altitude factored track. You must run 1.25 under the sea level index to get 3.25% on Tuesday.

Runs of 1.250 or more under the index will be reviewed and adjusted Tuesday following the event. Runs at National Events, Divisional Events, and National Open Events, including those at altitude factored race tracks, are included in the 1.250-second-or-more-under analysis. This is done to better react to any out-of-line indexes or under-horsepowered combinations. Therefore, at all such events, a 3.25 percent horsepower adjustment or index reduction will be initiated Tuesday following the event. The decision to adjust horsepower or to reduce the index will be at the discretion of the NHRA Tech Department
I think they changed the wording this year but the way I read it 1.25 under gets you HP at Vegas or any altitude track. -Matt |

Won't make any difference if it is 50 lbs over C/SA weight as Toby reported.
It will still make B/SA and will not have to change the weight :-) peace

Well, if it's true they can't get it any lighter, it will be a C only car next year because you can't weigh more than the minimum for the next heavier class. Once they get some more HP it won't be a problem though. -Toby |

That is what I am saying Toby
Give it 20 HP and it is a "B" car and it is already the correct weight If it does not get HP- it moves down to "C" and will be an even faster "C" car to the index Complicated sometimes to figure out what should be done Of course I am hoping for a couple of FX classes with one for V10s only - LOL :-) peace
