I've raced this Div 7 race a few times and attended it several times, and I agree it took longer than I can ever remember, Totally out of the norm, from getting the cars into the water box, to track prep between classes. Each day seemed to get further behind. Maybe they should go back to the old schedule, things seem to run a little quicker the way they were in the past.

well if ya figure on 400 PAIRS of cars at about 1 minute per pair figuring in the burnout/staging/the run/lshut down and leaving the track thats about 7 hours of flatout racing not counting any breakage/cleanups or -changing the timing etc between the classes plus about 10-15 minutes every so often to clean/dress/scrape the track it makes for a long day---How fast or how much time do ya thinkl it SHOULD take to run off 800 cars???? Comp 387

I was there and other than the way they kept changing the schedule there wasn't a whole lot of wasted time. They just couldn't keep to one schedule.
You have to give kudos to the track crew, they worked their asses off from 8:00 till 9 or 10 every night. Harold Owens, the lane master, was on his feet damn near that whole time too, and he's a little bit older than me. I don't know how he does it. It was a huge event and a lot of championships were decided last wekend.

Changing the schedule seems to me to be an NHRA thing cuz they literally take over the whole show at a points meet--the Track owners,/mgmt/staff do as they are told by NHRA people----Got a gripe direct it to NHRA not the track personell-----going back to what I said if ya run 400+ pairs of cars how long is an acceptable amount of time to accomplish that feat---Still say it takes 1 minute per pair course the alcohol drippers take about 1/2-1 hour to run a few pairs with all th pre planned oil cleanups figured in--Comp

Did the top fuel Harleys put more butts in the bleachers than last year?

Those were a pretty cool show I have to say, and yes fans showed up for that, and then left right after.
