hello, a few years ago, I was in seattle for the national event, john force had his car in the staging lanes. he went back to his pit spot for some reason. anyway,as he was hurrying back to the staging lanes a young boy, bout 10 years old asked him to sign his poster, john was in a hurry, but he dropped down on a knee and signed it , told him he had to get ready to race. he thanked that boy and went to the lanes. I thought, he hasn't forgot how he got where he came from. I've seen other pro racers brush kids aside. I was impressed and a young boy will be his fan forever.

Back in the 90's I saw him at Ennis signing anything and everything well after the race had been called for rain. He had a crowd lined up and was having a good time while his crew stood in the trailer door and laughed right along with everyone. He is Great for our sport.
I liked the comments he made on the show about rehab. Been there, done that and saw what he saw. I was in a large room with my family and when that came on they turned to me and said "He didn't look as bad as you". I responded: "Looks can fool you". He worked as hard because what he said was the way you have to approach it. He got it right, It's a mental thing to get past the pain and get better. Be healed and be back to function at your previous level is the goal. World Champ...By gosh, I think OLD John has made it! :~)

Thumbs up Re: John Force Haters Enter:

As much as I dislike fuel cars I have to say John Force is a true racer and a Champion. He started from nothing and made it. He came back from serious injury to race again and made the fuel funny cars safer. He talks a lot but its part of the game. Even though he wouldnt know me from nothing Im proud to say.......Congratulations to a true Champion.

I was on pins & needles hoping for John to get his 15th, and he didn't disappoint. He deserved it for a thousand reasons, and I'm glad the broken shift lever didn't wind up costing him the Championship. I've met John and Ashley on several occasions, and their popularity is easy for me to understand... they are REAL. John genuinly loves the sport, the fans, and his sponsors, and he RESPECTS them all from the little kids & Sportsman racers to the megabucks sponsors and his fiercest competitors. He has been the greatest influence on the sport and it's best spokesman for the last 20 years... Gongratulations GFR!!!!

I'm not a Force hater...peronally I'd would rather watch the
nostalgia Funny Cars and Pro Mod cars run.

#$%T Can all the drama. It's all about the big $$$$$.
They should be required to cannonball a full bottle of that powerade
at the end of the track during each interview.

If there are any JF haters out there, then I wonder where they were when John struggled to just win his first event ?
That man was a "bridesmaid" for so many years and he has paid his dues for sure.

I am happy for him and admire his dedication and hard work.

Congrats on your 15th JF !!
