My first encounter with Ronnie was at the Denver National in 2008, and he scared the crap out of me. But after getting to know him, you could not find a better man.
We share a small bond, because he owned my car at one time. Ronnie would always ride my *** because I was at the racetrack instead of being with my family. Like others have said, Mr. Ronnie is a way different guy than what he appears to be on the surface, and I know this from both stories and personal experience. Praying for a miracle.....

Ronnie West was one of the first people to put me on the trailer when I first started racing. He is a great guy, and will be in my prayers!

I have just been notified that the cancer took ronnie from us this morning at 9:35 am. As many have already said ronnie had abig heart and was a generous man. I got to know him personally after he bought state capitol racetrack, and being the rfc track chaplain there i had a lot of contact with ronnie and witnessed his generosity first hand. Ronnie and i had a lot of things in common, the love of drag racing and both of us being law enforcement professionals were among many that enabled me to see and know the true ronnie west. He truly did have a big heart and will be missed by many. Please continue to pray for his family. God bless my fellow racers chaplain craft.

Rest in peace my friend. It wont be the same without you around. All our prayers and love goes out to Sarah, Danny, Mandie and their Familys, and ofcourse the many friends left behind. You are already missed...
