True...but its still $95 now to pay for insurance so the blown fuel cars (Top Idiots and Ha Ha cars) can run at national events with no benifit to the sportsman racers unless you or your rig get hit by flying parts. No blown fuel cars ....no extra insurance....thats why there is no extra charge for insurance at the points races and opens. You are helping support the track oilers ! At least the tracks wont rust.

Just announced: $30 entry for $1,000,000! NHRA is thrilled to announce we are lowering the National Event sportsman entry fee to an incredible low $30! Just pay the $95 insurance surcharge, $70 trash and EPA surcharge, $65 track prep surcharge, $30 advertising and promotions surcharge, and $15 service fee. That's right, just $30 to race for your share of the posted payout and awards totaling over 1 MILLION dollars at EVERY event! There's never been a better deal!

Now, that sounds a lot better. lol
$35.00 more won't keep me from going. Everything else to do with running my business has gone up. I'm not suprised. Yes, the fuel cars are likely the problem, but people come to see them. not us. It's a business. Maybe business ownners see it differently.

Add it all up and it's a heck of a lot of money. Rationalizing why one should just roll over and pay it is not "rational". If one has enough disposal income, fine...more power to ya'. But most people don't. Unfortunately, there are also some that don't and won't admit it to themselves. __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ __ "Just announced: $30 entry for $1,000,000! I just recently paid $80 for the honor of having my permanent # for the next two years.
In any other business that would be called usuary.I guess the office help has to get their salary raise from somewhere.
