National Events 305.00???WTF

I had a lengthy conversation with an NHRA official last evening and I was told that all the Pro's including Alky teams pay insurance fees for national events and that their fees have also increased for 2011.
I was also told that most likely in 2011 that all ProTeams entering a national event would be paying entrance fees from the Pro's on down the ladder.
Does that make me feel better?- not really, but is does level the playing field. In addition fees on divisional events are mandated by the division directors, I guess that's why I pay $150 in div 2 and $175 in Div 1 or vice versa, can't remember. It's also up to division directors to structure fees for the catagories, IE: Alky teams don't pay. Why? I'm not sure, maybe that will change in 2011.
Bottom line- If you want to play your gona have to Pay. I know that I will.
