Sad news.
I got to know Ronnie years back. 1993??? or so?
One time we were in Huston, TX.
We had dinner with him.
He teased the young mother of 3 waitress and gave her a hard time.
This was ALL in fun because when we all got up to leave,
Ronnie had payed for everyone and also
gave our young mother of 3 waitress a $300.00 tip!

He told here, to buy her kids something nice and don't spend it on booze, cigarettes
or as he put it, some dumb boy.

That's the way he was.

On behalf of the West family, I want to sincerely thank everyone for the phone calls/ cards/ and heartfelt letters that were sent to Ronnie during his time in the hospital. He is a dear friend to my family and it became apparent that he was just as special to many of you as well.

I spoke to Ronnie's wife this morning and she asked me to post his funeral arrangements. Fountain Memorial Funeral Home
