We ran a stock suspension mustang (28x10.5w tire)that weighed 3200lbs in ORSCA 7.00. I had .025 in the box on a .400 tree and it was deadly. We worked our butts off to get it that way because it dang sure wasn't like that when we brought it out. If you have a back half, big tire, car that wont cut it in S/ST you dont need to be on here you need to be out in the shop working on it.
I guess it really dosen't make a differance if you set the car up for a pro tree and a pro tree only.
However most of the S/ST - HR cars are run in both Brackets and index classes.

Its also easier to put 900 + HP in a tube chassie car then in the arverage back halfed car.
Making it much easier to get the big MPH to chase down the slower cars. With Back Half type cars only, its not gonna stop the big MPH but it may slow them down from 165 MPH 10.90 cars to 150 MPH 10.90 cars.

I also think the S/ST - HR class has a large varity of differant types of cars in it, fords, chevy's, mopars. Having the class for only back halfed type cars may help preserive this.
10.90 is a pretty easy # for any desent Pro Street car to run these days.

And I've been in the shop working, got a lot to learn, but I'm learning

So I guess my Question to all the tube chassie cars running S/ST & HR at 150 Plus MPH,
Why are you not running S/G or S/R?

LOL Merry Christmas to all

It's not the back of a car that cuts the light, it's the front and a chassis car has struts,.
with a chassis car you can move the weight to the back 40/60, back 1/2 car the weight is mostly on the front 60/40 (stock front susp.)
If they make the class back 1/2 ONLY it would bring more of the footbrakers from (pro or heavy) into Super STREET,also it would take the chassis cars and put them into S/G where they belong.

I have never heard so many grown MEN whine in my life. My other ORSCA vehicle (6.00) was a Back Half s10 with a BBC it weighed 3240 with me in it. It was 62% on the nose. I carried 10 in the box on a .400 tree. Yall can say all you want about this and that but you cant BS me. If you think you need struts to get a bulb on a .500 tree you need to go sell all your stuff and take up shuffle board or Bingo. Second of all who says you have to go 150mph to win? Ill take .005 10.910@130 over .010 10.908@155 all day. They have those quarter windows for a reason, you know.

I like your post bro.

I have many 10.90x time slips at 147+ it doesn't matter if you go 120 or if you go 160. If you don't know if you are going 10.86 or if your going 10.94 you won't be turning on a win light regardless of the mph u run. Any good driver can win going regardless of how much mph they run.

This isn't whineing, try going to Club 400 slot car drag board, now there is some whineing going on over there. Hes got back door parts I can't get. He's got this he's got that. It goes on everywhere, in all forms of racing.

Actully I'm not whineing about anything, I simply made a comment on what I would like to see in the class. I will run what ever rules NHRA/IHRA tells me to.

I will work on my car to get it to react to the tree better. I have already started gaithering parts to make the car better for next season. I'm totally new to Pro Tree & Index racing, I got a lot to learn. I may never be #1 in S/ST or HR but 1 thing for sure I'll be there trying to get better.

And 1 thing for sure it is a lot easier to get a STRUT car to react to a pro tree then it is a A arm car. Never said it can't be done but facts are facts.

You guys sound like Democrats......lol...

Let's outlaw cars that make it easier to cut a light on a 400 tree....What are you guys smoking...

its a 500 tree and 99 percent of the cars in super street don't spin....so whats the issue...I don't believe a tube car is more consistent than a back half car....

one more thing ...how fast do the division champions go....are they all 150 plus cars...get off the speed thing....and worry about racing....it is what it is......

Super street is a great class....I have many friends that run it....it takes the same expertise that super gas does......

Rock...

Thanks Rock
Leave S/st alone! If you want more people to race in the class, try paying more than
$800.00 to win, that pay out has been the same since 1989.How about 1 crew pass
for free?
For a $150 or more to enter plus $40 or more for a crew pass, you get one run on Sat
and first round at 8am Sunday and 2 round when ever.
Not many racers are going to load a tube car down with the weight to run s/st.

Just my 0.02

They don't spin ( thats a good one ) ,now they crash.
chassis car is WAY more consistant then a back 1/2, you of all people should know that.
And maybe a roadster doesn't have better visability then a doorcar. LOL
