The video of the takeoff and landing was made by a student pilot riding in the left front seat. You get a good bird's-eye view of the track & pit area.

Learning to fly is still on my "list". I had a chance several years ago when I lived in NC.. I had a customer that he and his son both flew.. They had a grass strip behind the barn and they offered my their plane for my flying hours.. All I had to do was take the classroom and they would supply the aircraft for my flight hours for fuel only... Couldn't beat that but a career move came before I got to do that.. But the move did allow me to become a USCG Captain on a vessel of 100 tons or less.. So guess I can't complain... But that still does look like fun to me!!!!! But I want to ride the space shuttle also....... So what do I know???
