When you put them side by side you will be able to tell the difference in quality.
Been there done that... and it was not even close on a choice.
Dart is much superior in almost every way.
When I bought mine the GM block was actually higher in price by just a little, but price was not the deciding factor for me at the time.
My 2 Cents

Unless they've changed, Dart was using the same foundry and the same material as GM. GM has gone to a very high quality CNC process. They (BowTie blocks) were never junk, but Dart surpassed them in quality at least for a while.

Make sure you compare apples to apples when you compare blocks, don't compare the cheapest two bolt main cast cap BowTie block to a Dart Little M, that's not a reasonable comparison. At one time, GM had a few BowTie blocks that were specifically intended to be cheap and small upgrades from production blocks. They were really meant to pass tech as a factory block in low budget classes so that racers who had to run a GM block could have an alternative to used up worn out salvage yard rejects. They were not meant to be a real "aftermarket" block for high end racing.

According to the list, there are none. The only accepted Ford aftermarket blocks on the list (page 89-90) are for the FE.

I might be mistaken, but I think the Dart Little M is heavier than the bowtie when comparing apples to apples.
