Believe me those people back then were no brighter than the kids of today. And there are others on here that saw that race.

We? are you looking in a mirror?
I was talking about stupidity. No generation has a lock on it.

i agree there, for sure. But this generation has a whole lot more lazy, and a whole lot less respect for rules. They'd rather bolt a turbo on a stock car and go fast, than build a stocker.

I proved how easy it was to get a turbo car to run. Even I made it go fast. It is the biggest bang for the buck. And that's why they are stupid? Years ago people had junkyards to scrounge for parts. FLASH!!! They still do, but you ain't going to find a 60's musclecar in them. You find Neons, Hondas Etc. If you think this generation is dumb. In my generation I made HP while almost everyone else made love (the flower generation)

Art: Back in the day, I would street race my stocker out on Long Island. I would have either the M&H street tires or 9" slicks and tiny headers, the first words out of the other racer was " are you going to race with those small tires?" . I knew at that point that they didn't stand a chance. I'd get the break and they were done fore!
