I do agree about this generation of kids, and what people are saying about them, but it has absolutely nothing to do with what kind of car they choose to drive.
It wouldn't be a stereotype if there wasn't some truth. I am at the local track damn near every weekend that I am in town. That's the crap i see on import night. THe kids with mustangs and f-bodys tend to learn pretty quick and make reasonable gains. the kids with honda tend to tear **** up. I have several good friends who run imports that are very well done and very fast, but they are a slim slim slim minority among the import crowd. Hell three import "tuner shops" have opened and closed in the last few years because even they can't do **** right. most of these kids do want it right now, and think that the Fast and Furious was a documentary. I know you don't fall in that category, and I wish you luck with your car. But don't pretend that even 10% of these kids with imports even have a clue

Let's not start bashing the kids please, face it as kids how much of a clue did we have? Man I could build a fleet of cars with the stuff I broke over the years, some due to ignorance, some from the no money factor. Personally I've seen a few of the import racers who's stuff was pretty impressive, not all but quite a few. Why not let these racers try their hand at making their stuff run, whos it hurting? My kids a very good bracket racer and has some decent mechanical skills, is he ready to assemble a 10,000 rpm engine.... no but he's learning just like all of us had to learn. Comparing the seasoned class racer to the upstart racer is just not fair I'm sure if we all think back we can all see that it didn't happen overnite, it took years to develope the skills to field our cars, for those of you who were born with this gift I salute you. Joe

I'm more comparing the 20 something domestic racers to the 20 something import racers, BIG difference. And I'm barely over 30 myself so i still consider some of these guys my generation.
