Legend, at a div race exactly who is watching the SHOW? The stands are empty.

This is an issue in both sanctioning bodies. Just because tracks fail to promote their events does not mean that there is not a show to be seen. Several years ago, Mooresville bothered to spend $2K on radio and sold 1,500 1-day passes on that Sunday alone, at $20/head. Don't know what they did for promotion, but we had a great crowd at Union County's Pro-Am last year. Norwalk chooses a different scheme, and its results are legendary. One thing's for sure: No promotion, no spectators.

I think maybe the reason for upping the purse for the T/S and T/D cars at the nationals was probably done to whisk in the more exspensive faster cars so they could have there quick 8 shootouts...im not saying I haven't seen some super stickers out there that prob cost more than a T/S car but I guess we all have to deal with it atleast they did up all purses at natls and are having 2 5K races this year..if you look at the divisional payouts T/S and T/D get 20$ more first rd and 10$ more rd 3 and up 100 more to runner up than ss and 400 more to won than ss. So it kinda looks like the choice to raise the purse at nationals was to draw in faster cars make a 32 car field harder to qualify in and have a quick 8 shootout...but I don't know im just saying could be the reason

I did a little more "Homework"
Take the 5 fastest SS cars by E.T. at that event.
SS/BM Larry Cummings, Hammond LA, '06 Cavalier 8.368
SS/AM Brad Plourd, Maple Valley WA, '05 Cavalier 8.568
SS/BM Kevin Helms, Schriever LA, '95 Achieva 8.604
SS/BS Byron Latino, St. James LA, '09 G5 8.831
SS/CM Slate Cummings, Hammond LA, '08 Cavalier 8.857

Now take the entire field of 15 T/S cars at that event, and using that fancy math again, you get an avg. of 7.399333, or lets just call that 7.40.

So, 30% of the SS field are within .94-1.45 secs. from qualifing MID-WAY through the T/S pack? Larry is less than a second from the #6 spot! They do that with 1/2-1/3 the Cubic Inches, no laughing gas or turbo/SC, weighing 3-500 lbs more, in a factory produce(Not all fiberglassed out) body. One of them even does it with 1 carb. Nevermind the Hemi's that are right behind the mods in E.T. They do it with more Cubic Inches than the mods, but weigh a bit more and do it with 1960's Factory Parts!

Yeah, You T/S boys "Lay it Down" allright. I'm impressed!
I wonder how easy it is leaving off of the top bulb.

easy, Hagan, don't have a stroke....you got it right but you'll never convince the TS TD Bracket crowd, they just don't get it...like my partner says: "anybody can put a big engine in a little car....it means nothing"

somebody, somewhere has a bigger engine in a littler car

try 265 CI at 3700 lbs

ADRL gives out 20, 30 thousand tickets or whatever it is to go see their races. what they don't tell you is that it's 20 bucks per car to park. If you pile 6 or 7 in a car it's still a deal. Ed
