Anyone remember the names: Gene Berg or Steve Tims? In the '70's these guys were kings of the VW brigade. Steve drove a Karmen Ghia and Gene was in a Bud.

Chuck , As suspected, Greg Tims, (white Bug) is the son of Steve Tims.
Also , the red Ghia is Steve's 70's race car. Nice to see something different out there, rather than just SBC powered jelly beans.

I ran a A/SM hemi Cuda in '77 and '78. It seemed like every race I had to run Steve in the L/G (I think) Ghia. Those days were competetive and fun!

Thanks for posting that info-I talked to Larry in Topeka in 2005 when they were running in the all motor import class. He struck me as a good guy-glad to see him in SS.

Wayne,,if you go back and see my opening post to this thread, you will see I listed Larry Kelley. I was reading the entry list for Pomona, not this weekends divisional, when I posted. Doug Gonzales # 7897 with a '63 VW from Upland, Ca who is racing this weekend, and running well, by the way, wasn't on the Pomona list. It looks like this new SS/VX class is taking off in a hurry. I'm wondering now how many will show up on the east coast, perhaps as soon as Gainesville?
