window net requirments

I'm suprised by Rycks response,but I guess things change.
Several years ago I built a Stocker with a cage for a class that did not require one , the owner was told at that time he had to use the window net regardless of how fast he was going.
Regardless ,I would want one anyway,when properly installed they really aren't that bad. ...Especially the mesh type. ....Whats an arm worth now days?
