Does anyone have any info about the white 55 panel wagon? I have not saw it in over 10 or 15 years. I know it was a 265 powerglide that ran SS/PA or possibly O. Don Jackson

The 62 Impala still runs with the "High Winding Gear Jammers" . They run in N.C. & would come up to Kanawaha Valley a time or two each year.

I was there at that event running in Hot Rod. Always one of the best races to go too every year.

I remember seeing the 55 panel at a track at Charlotte, NC 25+ years ago. I think the track was called shuffletown or maybe my altzheimers has kicked in again. I remember it was returning back to the pits up a slight incline and that wagon had a seriously loose convertor. It sounded like 6000 rpm just to get up the incline and back to the trailer. I guess a 265 SS motor don't make power till 6500+ lol. Man I dream of drag racing the 80's and miss it terribly. Don Jackson
