Is the weak link the 7/16ths stud or the rocker arm?

Both, you need to spend a few extra bucks, at least you will know its right. Not an area for guess work.

Cool Re: Holroyd BBC Rocker Arms

That stuff on Ebay was a bunch of used parts. If you want a bunch of used crap in your race car, you wind up with nothing but used crap. Do it right the first time, get the right NEW parts from Clark, be it a Quadrajet, a Holley, or a set of valve train parts, and be done with it because its done right the first time.

Thanks guys for your responses. I just wanted to know what was special. Has anyone tried the 502 Marine rocker arms the way they are and with the 7/16ths studs?

Who has pics of the Holroyd setup?

Unless you do the mods right they will still break and or push the pushrod thru the rocker.
I would also send them to Jim Bailey at Finished, 330 858 1842
Clark's # 909 483 0311 cell 909 591 4320

I think the real question is this:
"I want to take your years of R&D, failed product testing & successful product testing. I want to copy the successful program and not allow any compensation for the inventor so I can save some money. Please send pictures and accurate diagrams where necessary. And then when I have it working, I can market the same system and undercut the competition. "

Just like the Chinese!
