Yes, I knew what you meant. I have run class in G/SA that had 12 cars or more. There was no ladder. It's up to the racers to decide who runs who and who gets the single.

Sometimes they draw numbers out of a hat. Sometimes people request to run each other. Sometimes they flip coins. Usually, the highest qualifier gets pulled out for the bye and the rest just run whoever they are lined up with.

I'm pretty sure it will be the same at Atlanta.

This all may be a moot point, because the forecast looks like a complete wipeout on Fri, Sat and Sun! Hope the tire guys are there on Thurs. so I can at least get new rubber on the car!

Got this info from Michael Beard concerning stock class combo at Charloote:

They didn't pair us. There were three of us, and we decided amongst ourselves that it was fair to give the bye to the car furthest under the index in qualifying.
