Default Re: Front brakes 67 Camaro?

Over the winter I bought the Aerospace front brake kit for my NOVA through JEG's, I know several of my race friends that have their stuff and had good experience. However that was not mine; from the smart a*# kid on the Aerospace tech support line to none I repeat none of the mounting bolts were the correct size or length, all the rotor mounting holes had to be retapped, the wheel studs are about three inches too long,( looks like Ben Heir chariot) and the final straw on the first check out pass the "Chinese" outer wheel bearings created such a wobble due to poor tolerance I almost wrecked.

JEG's was great about allowing a refund or swap for Wildwood etc but by this time I had so much time and $$ invested in fixing or replacing all the flaws and was close to the Belle Rose event I choose to leave alone, I.e. new American bearings, machine work, and correct bolts etc.

On the lighter side after over a week of coming in at night from the garage upset my wife thought the brake companies name was "Damn" :-)

I also used the Aerospace brakes on my Camaro. The brakes fit well and the install was very easy. There were a few holes that I had to chase with a tap. Once the brakes were installed they worked flawlessly and the braking is miles ahead of the drum brakes. You do have to be somewhat mechanically inclined to do the job and be able to follow directions. I bought my brake kits through ART in St Petersburg Fl. Aerospace is also located in St Petersburg. I thought the quality was in line with the cost.

Street car or race car? For a street car, I recommend the Stainless products over true race car stuff - much more durable.

Greg,
We used Aerospace on "OUR" Nova worked good.
I also put a set on my Camaro. Very easy installation and almost a year and 400 runs later still stopping.

They were very easy for me also and the cheapest way to put dual piston calipers on my car. Everything fit perfect.
