I believe that you must run the powerglide in '67-
'68 Canaro's. I have a B&M Mega shifter for the 350 if you can use it. I also have a 2.08 lite Powerglide if you must run it. Make sure if you run a 350 that you not only get the low gear but also the lite parts. Send me a PM if I can help with advice.
