Here's Steve Wann's wheel stand from yesterday morning's run. I tried to isolate Steve by cropping out some of the background. Watch his right rear wheel just before John passes him. It's in 720p also.

Bakersfield was my home track '96,'97 and '98. Your reports sure bring back some fond memories. Great place to race, but it can sure get hot. Although, Ididn't sweat until I returned to Louisiana in July. Keep up the good work, guys!

The first round of stock is over and this will produce a heads up in the 2nd round between Toby Lang and Ron Bradley. Toby appears to be slower but is well known for pulling rabbits out of a hat. Here are more pictures from yesterdays time trials.

Hey Marc,
Steve Valkanoff is originally from S.F. When we new him it was in the Half Moon Bay days he was billed as Mr.409 he ran a 62 impala and his cousin ran a station wagon. as well. We use to see him at the moon, fremont, vacaville, and cotadi. Rich. |
