And then there were the fireworks - thanks to Maple Grove - racers and fans were treated to a spectacular fireworks display that topped off a super evenng of racing .

Got to visit with an old friend yesterday - well not exactly a friend - guess you can't call a car a friend - Todd Hoven showed up with Truman Fields '68 Firebird that I haven't seen in many years - he's making strides in D/S ..........
Doesnt Todd live in SOuthern Indiana? I think that is the 68 Bird that Roy and Mike Mckinney owned for several years before Truman got it back a few years ago... correct? That is awesome that its still out there runnin'... thanks for the pics

Thanks, i thought it was.... My family has been good friends with the Mckinney's for nearly 30 years... I saw Mike win the 1985 Spring Nationals in Columbus with that car... and remember seeing it win they first got it in '77, i believe. I was little, but, i remember. Ive only met and talked to Truman once. That was in 2006. Nice guy. Car looks great! GLad to see its still flyin. How fast did he run with it this weekend?

Brent, The car I'm running is the car Truman got in the trade when he sold the Hard Times 1 car to your buddy's. Truman has owned and driven this car since 1976. He now has his original car car back that he sold. It is an IHRA pure stock car with an automatic, and also green.
