Last night after some classes ran first round it was time for some food , adult beverages and mostly talking about how we won or how many ways we lost .This Memorial Day weekend is a perfect time to visit with friends .

Debbie and I visited the MASGA headquarters and we greeted by none other than "Uncle Buck" himself and both us were glad he could make it here as he's been on the injured reserve list for some time .And he felt even better when his partner (George Donhauser won first round ) - welcome back Ron ............

And then there were the fireworks - thanks to Maple Grove - racers and fans were treated to a spectacular fireworks display that topped off a super evenng of racing .

Got to visit with an old friend yesterday - well not exactly a friend - guess you can't call a car a friend - Todd Hoven showed up with Truman Fields '68 Firebird that I haven't seen in many years - he's making strides in D/S ..........

Doesnt Todd live in SOuthern Indiana? I think that is the 68 Bird that Roy and Mike Mckinney owned for several years before Truman got it back a few years ago... correct? That is awesome that its still out there runnin'... thanks for the pics

Monday morning outlook -- Well , we managed to get through the entire weekend with only a few sprinkles and a minimum of downtime in spite of the naysayers who said we'll never get this race in .And yesterday we were able to finished by fiveish - and everyone was able to get home at a decent hour - my hats off to the Maple Grove staff and the Division One guys and gals who helped get this event done and done well .

Just for the record - I know of only one rig that had to be towed from its spot - and that incident was non-rain related . And did you take notice to the Eisenhauer Nissan Clean-up / Pace truck - pretty sporty deal .

Found a few pics that didn't get posted .................And can you spot the coin that Szupka and Fletcher are looking for ? ? ? ? ? Good luck - my eyes haven't been that good on a long while ......And how about Ma and Pa Szupka - talk about proud ..............
