I think Michael works with less to prove a point, that it can be done. If he won the lottery I doubt he would buy a stacker&toter. He is a bit on the Hardheaded side.LOL

I would like to thank-you all for your efforts and comments efforts. I am sorry that I didn't make it down to MIR this weelend, for we are only 10 minutes away. I really wanted to at least watch stock and super stock. My son and I both raced at Cecil County on Saturday in the gamblers race part of the Ulimate Outlaws. We had committed to Nate and Adam Pritchett. We left home at 5:30 in the morning and got home 3:30 Sunday morning. I went to work at 8:30 to catch up and go back home at 3:00. I was too beat to goto MIR at that point. I'm very pleased that Royce and Linda had a good show. This whole stock/supper stock was based on a suggestion from Wade Mafferey. I know that we only have bracket cars, but it was worth a try.
Michael, the EFI stuff that we use probably will not work in stock, but here it goes. We use the stock CMU from Ford. The current one was a stock replacement when I burned the original one up doing some welding on the car. The car was a tenth quicker with the original one. The replacement one doesn't seem to aloow the car to rev as well. The injectors are 30#. We have used 19#, and 24#, but the 30# works very well. We average around 44 PSI at the regulator. We use a 70 MM mass air and throttle body with a cold air tube and K&N air breather. I don't think the cold air tube is legal in stock. We also use a 160 degree theromsate. On his car, that alone was worth almost two tens. We do use and aftermarket intake, again not legal in stock, but with this combinitation with the stock intake (unported), the car ran 12.30's. Thanks again, Tom Sr. |
