To bracket race Tri-State (Cinn Oh) / NHRA Div. race Norwalk/ NHRA Open Indy/ IHRA Div. Mooresville/ IHRA TOC Piedmont. Most hated National Trails!

I won't pick an absolute favorite out of the 276 I've attended but here are two memorable current tracks:
George Ray's: It took me eleven years to win class (H/SA) but I finally did it in 2004. In 2009, I finally won an eliminator there. Ungodly tough racing but a wonderful experience every time I've ever pulled through the gates. Isom, KY: Maybe the toughest racing I've ever experienced but was lucky enough to win an event there; paid in cash and the trophy is the tallest I've ever won...including season point championships! |

These days I like Norwalk for facility and proximity. I also liked Las Vegas since we have been there more than any other track excpt Norwalk.
I used to like Dragway 42 in Ohio, once upon a time in the 60s it hosted NHRA Nationals, and I remember Shirley Muldowney running off the end of very short shutdown, going across the entry road, and into the corn field where the drying stalks of corn finally slowed her to a stop. They also took off most of the paint on her car too..lol The shut off is short, uphill and poorly lit. So at night it was driving into a black hole.. But that was my home track then and my little green Ford Falcon, the Tin Lizzard in C/MP liked it. Yes, those were the days! David The New Hemi Guy Last edited by NewHemi; 07-30-2011 at 02:33 PM. |
