We lived in a Pop Up camper that we got for $500 and a 25 year old 22 ft enclosed trailer the year we won. The car was a very good car that ran well for sure, but not one out of reach. I look forward to seeing everyone at the races and having a good time. I also know that whatever class we are entered in, we will do anything and everything to prepare our car to kick butt. If it doesn't work out, well, we are going down swinging! Then afterwards, we will find the racer that we raced and go have a beer together! I think it will fill up in stock or very close to it. It has seemed like many have waited to the deadline the last few years. I think that will be the case again. I also will stick my neck out and say that the bump will be .798 in stock. I believe the top 50 will be farther under than last year, but the last 28 qualiiers will be within .05 of last year. ( barring any weather anomolies) One thing I hope will be very exciting is the fact that some of the new hotdog cars will actually have to run each other. This is where ( finally the Bullsh**) stops. I mean, if you don't leg it out at Indy heads up, what else would you possibly be saving it for? And if you are in A/Stick or A/SA the Challenge is getting interesting! We have more stuff for the winners than any other class at Indy this year bar none! Keep your eyes on the sticky post on the challenge for updates as the Schwag keeps rolling in from the many that STILL support Heads up Class Racing! Thanks to All!!! Just my humble opinion! WFO!!! LOL.

Wasn't there a recent Stock champion who pulled his car on an open trailer with a pickup?
Guess he didn't get the memo that he needed a motorhome, stacker, and $120K car to win in Stock? Also guess he forgot to sell his car and quit because someone else's combo is softer than his. |

well Terry i guess my family is stupid also cause I've entered them in again this year as they have been going since 1964. But when you have won Indy like we did in 2005 there is nothing any better then having a Indy Wally for winning the whole event.
S/C Entry $305 S/G Entry $305 Winning PRICELESS !!!!!!!!! Last edited by Nitro Joe Jackson; 03-24-2019 at 11:00 AM. |

If you have it you can do what you want. If you don't, might need to stay away.

I thought about saving my money for the nursing home. But they tell me you get treated the same if you have the money to pay or not. And I've heard you can have more fun at Indy then lying in one of their beds all day waiting to (as my friend Joe Demarzo would say) take a dirt nap . Unless of course you can get Gurtrude to take out her teeth and join you. Me Terry I try not to let NHRA ruin my good times. I like to keep my glass half full. Good luck to all and I hope to see you there. If I make it I will be a Dummy with a smile.

Well you guys take everything to serious. I was a "Dummy" (and still am) in 68, 69 (those were fun times) then again in 71, 72, 73, and later around 88 but as we get older 7 to 8 days at Indy dosent sound all that much fun anymore. Unless you havent done it before !I wish all good luck and I hope you guys with the new FI DP's and blown/unblown Ford cars have great weather conditions and can qualify around 1.50 or better under.
Gezzzzz, Lighten up but not before you cross the scales. Life is to short. Last edited by X-TECH MAN; 08-08-2011 at 04:39 PM. |

Terry.....I race a POS super gas car and an overpriced Blown CJ.....for you that's a double negative.....lol.....but Indy is still the highlight of the season...for us....and I can't see that changing.....all the anti new car guys should be excited about it...because you know there will be several permanent hits.....again....
And one of these times I just might win..... I like to get together with everybody....from all over the country....the barbecues.....etc...and class is still fun to watch.....when Paul Adams beat Todd Patterson..last year....the crowd went nuts.... I don't care how many days long it is....lol Rock Haas |
