Mike,

Don Grotheer did not run a SS/E Hemi Plymouth Superbird,,,

He did run a 1969 1/2 (440 6-barrel) Road Runner, 4-speed in SS/G.

Hey, HemiMoose, I wrote that General Kinetics ad when I was the Marketing Manager and phone tech guy back then, I, also, wrote and edited their first real catalog. Still have a copy.

Hey BadBanana, do you remember any more stories from the team that worked on Ray Allen's Chevelle SS that you mentioned in an earlier post, maybe talk about the camshaft profile they used or any other interesting points about them building the car, were you ever present at any dyno sessions, or did they ever talk about any extra weight added to the car anywhere, etc.

.

There were no "dyno sessions" back then. Dynos were not common or as regularly used by drag racers or their engine builders.

T/K did not have a dyno untill they moved to the place they were in for many years....and well after the Chevelle....

John Hoffman may have had a dyno in the old days but I am not sure....He built them and sold them.

Rich is correct, the shop in Piscataway was very small. The Greenbrook shop was where the dyno was put in by the mid 70s
