When you think of all the years and support to the speed parts and drag race related industries Jim and many others have spent, having to face blatant under factored cars heads up has got to make you wonder if its all worth it....
Going ''a la Fletcher'' may be one way to handle it but it is certainly not ideal.... MB Quote:

random observation... used to be each car in teardown was allowed ONE crewmember and NO-ONE else was allowed (including me) ...
now ford has sent dealer staff and engineers to dissasemble and tech the cars. im not sure about mopar. i would like to see the drivers dissasemble and reassemble these cars, just wondering how many could even drive out of the barn ?? jack p.s. barn at times looked like a new car dealership shop...almost all new cars, many mechanics, and many drivers just watching them work on thier cars.

Does the Ford service Tear down come with the package when you buy the car or doe's it cost more??? What happens if you are out in Idaho and you set the record? Will they fly a team out there? You all know that they sold the FORD Airline during troubled times oh I forgot that Edsel Ford II owns a charter service that he bought from Chryler!

Jack, if this were the case, the field would be 32 cars.
