Don't forget to add the price of the golf cart and the extra crew necessary to get this stuff to the lanes when you need it........Pretty hard carrying a chiller machine full of ice and water and a generator from the lower forty.....

Do they at least still give out a trophy for an Indy class win? Cause than it's definately worth it

The silver unit "Cold Shot" is somewhere around $11-1200 and comes with the one way valve for the upper radiator hose. The one way valve has "Jiffy-Tite" quick disconnect fittings for easy operation. The units hold twenty-two gallons of water, however most folks are only using about half of that. The units are made one at a time and can be custom tailor made to fit your storage or operational needs. The inner vessel and outer cabinet are separated by insulation to keep the water as cold as possible.

Can be done much easier, cheaper, and smaller. Use a NOS size bottle full of liquid CO2 (liquid dry ice). Just make a heat exchanger type of manifold for the fuel to run through with the liquid CO2. You "ice down" the fuel in a matter of seconds in the staging lanes.

It is impossible to get liquid CO2 (without a significant pressure change), it goes directly from solid to gas, and vice versa. Liquid nitrogen is a lot colder plus it can be stored at normal pressure. However, -200 C might be a little bit too cold lol

Yes it comes in a dip tube bottle similar to an O2 bottle. Liquid nitogen is much colder.

Does anybody have problems starving the pump for water when they put the valve in the upper hose? I was told that it should be in the bottom but I've seen guys put them in the upper and was wondering if they've had problems?

If that's true, then why hasn't somebody else started making them and selling them? Sounds like a business opportunity to me!
