Well then I guess that puts the full blame on the track and the sanctioning assoc.
Thanks for the clarification.

The man that owns this car is a personal friend of mine. I talked to him yesterday. The car is not a total loss. It needs a windshield,a new vinyl top, a headliner,a new carb and some hoses and lines. This is what I was told by him yesterday. He said he should have had a fire system on the car. The car is a really nice car. It is a nitrous car and no doubt should have a fire system of some kind and he said IF it comes back out, it will have one. No doubt, the fire truck should have had a driver or at least a good battery. Also.....the track does have fire extinguishers along side the track wall every so many feet. Its a terrible situation and the owner of that car is about as good a guy as you'll ever meet and hes not pointing fingers at anyone. I pray that he gets it back together.

Well nobody answered my question about who sanctions that place. They're going to have jet cars and a jet truck there on Oct 1st.I wonder if they'll have a fire truck in working condition for that race?

If i'm not mistaken, this track sued the ADRL but I never heard how it turned out.

There's a very scary video floating around on YouTube with footage of the Pro Mods getting sideways trying to stop in the very short shut off area. Others disappeared into a cloud of dust as they ran long. According to the ADRL, the track promised to upgrade in time for the next season's show. I can't remember if cars got damaged but watching the video you'd swear it was going to happen on almost every run.

They didn't fix things properly according to the ADRL, who refused to race there. Thus the lawsuit which I would bet has been thrown out by now. I would think the track is obligated to provide a safe venue (or at least meet previous stipulations) but I'm not a lawyer.

Just another data point as to the track's operation.

If everyone who was there that day cared about what happened to that poor guy they would band together and not go back until ownership/management makes a commitment to the safety of the competitors.
What happened is unacceptable.

Heres the video of the ADRL race, yes cars were damaged and the ADRL never went back after this.
