I am not sure but were not all narrow journal small blocks 2 bolt and the wide journal 4 bolt blocks came a long in 68?

Correct, All 327 small journal (2.299 mains) were 2-Bolt Main Caps. Not sure on the block casting #, but some of the early 327 small journal blocks had a higher Nickel content, making them a bit stronger. You could tell just by the way the boring bar tool bit sounded when you were boring out a cylinder, to know it was a harder block. Last edited by Paul Ceasrine; 09-25-2011 at 02:17 PM. |

Both Raven Rock & Riverside were 1/4 mile.....Riverside went to 1/8 mile in the 70's. Raven Rock was the home track of Gordon Collect & Rodger Gustin.
