I normally don't write on this forum much, but I'm glad you gave an update. We actually supplied you with the large extinguisher. We just pulled into our pit spot and I saw your car on fire. We carry one in the back of the truck and one in our trailer. I grabbed the one from the truck, ran, jumped the fence and handed it off to you. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Thank God you got it under control, it could have been a lot worse. We never would have had that extinguisher if it wasn't for Jim Zaskowski, who gave us two this year at Stanton. My Dad just happened to keep it with us since then. I know you probably don't know us, but we have the SS/NA Cutlass. -Eric Stewart and Gary Long |

It's also a reminder to the rest of us to upgrade our fire extinguishers in
our tow vehicle, our trailer and one mounted in the car. I have a couple in the garage, but not in the two vehicle, car or trailer, but that will change.

Charlie, I learned my friend Linn BeBout was one of the first to you as he told me he jump the fence with a extinguisher.

Didnt have time to read this today, I was at the body guys place working on my hood while dad was cleaning the car with a steam cleaner. I want to thank Lynn, Eric Stewart and Gary Long for helping save my car. You guys really helped. It was kindof a blurr while it was happening, and I dont remember much other than the helpless feeling I had. I probably wont see you guys again this year, but I plan to be in touch.
